Inkira Classics (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates inkira.app. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how we protect it.
What we collect
- Account information: email address and password (hashed). If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email, and profile picture from Google.
- Reading data: your reading position and visual novel progress, so you can pick up where you left off.
- Preferences: display settings like text speed and font size.
- Payment information: handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card details. Stripe may collect billing address and payment method data under their own privacy policy.
- Usage analytics: we use privacy-focused analytics to understand how the site is used. No personal data is collected by analytics.
How we use your data
- To provide and improve the service
- To save your reading progress
- To manage your subscription
- To send transactional emails (account confirmation, payment receipts)
We do not sell your data. We do not send marketing emails unless you opt in.

Data storage and security
Your data is stored on servers in the EU. Passwords are hashed with bcrypt. Sessions use encrypted HTTP-only cookies. We take reasonable measures to protect your data, but no system is perfectly secure.
Your rights
You can:
- Access your data from your account page
- Update your name and preferences at any time
- Delete your account by contacting us
- Export your data by contacting us
Cookies
We use a single authentication cookie to keep you logged in. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party advertising cookies.
